Have a questions? This is the place to be!
Should I buy my tickets in advance or can I get them at the door?

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, however we strongly suggest purchasing tickets in advance. Many of our productions have limited availability and sell out.

What happens if I buy a ticket and can’t make the show?
If you have purchased a ticket and prior to the start of the performance you realize you cannot attend the show, you can contact the Box Office and exchange your tickets for another performance of the same production for a nominal fee. If you do not contact the Box Office prior to the show you will not be able to exchange the ticket. There are no refunds on tickets purchased.
Are there any special discounts on tickets?

Group discounts are available for groups of 12 or more.
Additionally, our Season Tickets are offered at a reduced ticket price, allowing our programming to be as accessible as possible.

What happens if I show up late to a performance?
New West Theatre performances start at the time indicated on our performance calendar.
If you do arrive late you may have to sit in latecomers seating until a timely break in the action or intermission. For some productions we do not allow latecomers and you will not be admitted once the production has started. We strongly suggest arriving at the theatre with ample time to find parking, pick up tickets and find your seat.
Can New West Theatre donate tickets to my event or fundraiser?

Throughout the year we receive many requests from organizations for tickets to be given away as prizes at events and fundraisers. New West Theatre is happy to review donation requests for door prizes and give-aways. If you would like to inquire about having tickets donated to your event or fundraiser, please contact our office at 403-381-9378 or info@newwesttheatre.com.

New West Theatre typically performs at the Yates Theatre or the Sterndale Bennett Theatre. Both venues are located in the Yates Memorial Centre, 1002-4th Ave South, Lethbridge. Occasionally we perform at other venues. Please check the production page on our website for performance locations of specific productions.

Is the Yates Memorial Centre wheelchair accessible?

The Yates Memorial Centre is wheelchair accessible. Both the Yates Theatre and the Sterndale Bennett Theatre have limited special needs seating. Please notify the NWT Box Office when purchasing tickets to ensure your seat is wheelchair accessible.

Where can I get something to eat before the show?

There are many restaurants and cafes in the downtown core that are all walking distance from the theatre. Here’s a few of our favorites:
Streatside Eatery – 317 8th St. S
Sisters Pub & Grill – 814 2nd Ave S
Telegraph Tap House – 310 6th St. S

When ordering we suggest you notify your server that you are attending one of our productions and they will ensure you receive your meal in a timely fashion.

Can I bring food or drinks into the theatre?

For productions taking place in the Yates Theatre, Enmax offers concessions in the lobby. We encourage you to enjoy refreshments before, during the show and during intermission.

Where can I park?

Parking at the Yates Memorial Centre is available along 4 Ave S and 11 St. South. There is also a parking lot behind the theatre, shared with the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization. Parking spaces fill up quickly, so arrive early to snag the best spot!

Can I bring my children?

Our Music-Comedy Revues are suitable for older children. The Box Office does not allow babes in arms. If you child is comfortable with sitting quietly for an hour while watching the performance, we encourage you to bring them along.
Our Canadian Play Series is usually adult oriented. Please check the specific shows for age suitability. For the enjoyment of all patrons we suggest not bringing infants to our productions. If you have young children we suggest our Theatre for Young Audiences production, which plays each summer. These shows are catered to all ages and are the perfect family excursion.

Do the performers get paid?

Yes. Everyone you see on stage is a professional performer and they are paid for their work. In addition, all backstage technicians and designers are also paid professionals.
