Double your impact this giving Tuesday

In honor of Giving Tuesday, we’re excited to share a unique opportunity to double the impact of your gift! Thanks to 3 of our generous donors, the first $8,000 of contributions will be matched dollar-for-dollar from now until December 31 – making every donation go twice as far!

what are the different ways to donate?

There are many ways that you can donate!

It’s been an incredible journey for us over the last 30+ years, and we couldn’t have done it without your enthusiastic support. You all are the reason we’re able to keep bringing quality productions to our community year after year. We’ve got something to ask of you now – If you’re someone who loves what we do and wants to see us keep coming to the stage, please consider donating to support our work and our artists. Every little bit helps!

Your donation can go toward a specific show, our youth programming (which we’re really passionate about), our artists, operations, or anything else we do here at New West Theatre. It all helps us continue to connect with our community through the arts.

WHY donate to new west theatre

It has been an incredible journey for us over the last 30+ years, and we couldn’t have done it without your enthusiastic support. You are the reason we’re able to bring quality productions to our community year after year.

For less than the price of a cup of coffee a day, you can help support the longevity of New West Theatre. Your support of Theatre in Lethbridge is paramount – we understand that most people don’t have the ability to give large donations all at once, but a small monthly donation creates a long-term, lasting impact on our organization.

With monthly donations, we can reach further and plan for bigger, more innovative productions. For just $10 a month, you contribute to covering day-to-day essentials that keep our theatre running, like rehearsal space and lighting maintenance, with a $20 monthly donation, you’re helping pay an artist for a rehearsal day. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact.

Monthly giving is a budget-friendly way to spread your support throughout the year and create a lasting legacy with New West Theatre. A regular monthly donation allows us to think ahead—funding larger productions, paying artists fair wages, and sustaining youth education programs that nurture future performers.

Your consistent support reduces our administrative costs, ensuring that more of your donation directly supports what you see on stage. Together, we can ensure that New West Theatre thrives for many years to come.”

For more information about contributing to the success of New West Theatre, contact Sheri Becker, Executive Director at 403-381-9378 ext. 103 or email sheri@newwesttheatre.com  . Once you’re a donor, you can adjust your pre-authorized donation any time. Just email Sheri we’ll gladly change the amount or your schedule.

From the Heart: Stories from Our Donors

Discover the journeys that inspire generosity

– Live theatre is not a movie, a TV show, or something AI put together to grab our attention. It is real. Real people, just like us, singing our songs, playing our music, telling our stories, and sharing our culture. We love live theatre and want everone to have the opportunity to experince the joy and awe we feel after a show, or maybe even be up on the stage, performining.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           John & Lisa Huvaneers

– On a personal level , it is very fulfilling to be a small part of fostering creativity, inspiring younger generations of performers, and promoting community cohesion, all through this talented group. We love having access to such high quality performances. Our step is a little lighter, our smile comes a bit easier, and our hearts a bit fuller after a show.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           John & Lisa Huvaneers

– Selfishly, we are just so happy we can go to shows like these, and never want them to stop, like ever! Many of our friends and family use these productions to mark a special event, like a birthday or anniversary. Investing in local talent is an investment in local people. Aside from their performances,
we appreciate the effort New West Theatre puts into training, encouraging and finding new talent from Southern Alberta.
